Overview
郭店楚墓竹简 1993 年 10 月出土于湖北荆门郭店一号楚墓，共 804 枚，其中有字简 726 枚、13000 余字，是迄今所见年代最早的原始儒道典籍抄本群。墓葬年代为战国中期偏晚，竹简抄写年代更早，早于秦火，未经汉人整理改动，保存了先秦文本的原始面貌。
简文包含道家文献《老子》三组节抄与佚篇《太一生水》，以及《缁衣》《五行》《性自命出》等大批儒家佚籍，多数篇目为两千年来首次重见天日。郭店《老子》与传世本存在大量重要异文（如「绝智弃辩」传世本作「绝圣弃智」），《五行》印证了思孟五行说，《性自命出》补上了孔孟之间心性论的缺环，出土后直接改写了先秦学术史的若干定论。
